Coconut Oil VS Prescription Drugs For Alzheimer Gets Amazing Results!

The Alzheimer’s Association presented a statistics according to which the number of people diagnosed with the disease keeps rising. They expect that by the year of 2050 about 14 million people will be diagnosed with this debilitating disease, known for its disastrous effect on people’s memory, imposing anxiety and confusion.

Today over 5 million people struggle with Alzheimer’s, and it is the 7th leading cause of death in the US. The statistics says that over $148 billion goes for the treatment of the disease each year.

However, there are no pharmaceutical solutions available to treat, reverse or halt the symptoms of the disease. Most of the medications on the market are made to reduce the amyloid plaques, made from Amyloid B (AB), a protein, that build up on the brain. These are considered to be the trademark of the disease.

But, the latest studies have shown that small AB clumps called oligomers appear a lot before the plaques start to develop. The scientists explain that the molecular structure of the oligomers is quite different from AB.

Furthermore, the scientists revealed that the drugs used to destroy amyloid plaques have actually no effect on the oligomers. This is the perfect explanation for the failure of Alzheimer’s drugs. These medications are designed to affect the plaques, not the oligomers, their precursor.

Case Study: A Natural Approach

Interesting is the story of Mary Newport, MD, who has had quite an experience with dementia and Alzheimer’s. She knew that she had to do something when her 53 year old husband started showing signs and symptoms of progressive dementia. Later he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.

His therapy included regular Alzheimer’s medications such as Namenda, Exelon and Aricept, but none of these has showed any improving in his condition, moreover, his condition continued to worsen. The situation kept going in the same direction until Dr. Newport included her husband in her research of a new Alzheimer’s drug focused on Alzheimer’s triggers.

She later discovered that some brain cells can not use glucose properly, and as we all know glucose is the brain’s main source of energy. Neurons die without their fuel. Fats known as ketones are considered as an alternative energy source for brain cells, and when the body is deprived of carbohydrates, it starts producing ketones naturally.

The bad news is that most people can not cut carbohydrates out of their bodies, and not to mention that in many respect this is quite unhealthy. What is the solution? Consuming oil made from medium-chain triglycerides. If you did not know, MCT is oil made from coconut and palm oil.

The drug she actually used in her drug trial was simple MCT oil, at an usual dose of 20 grams. When MCT oil is metabolised, the body creates ketones that protect against Alzheimer’s and also reverse the symptoms. The MCT oil treatment can be used for Parkinson’s, Huntington’s, Type 2 diabetes and multiple and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.

Mr. Newport started his coconut oil treatment at a point where he was not even able to draw a simple object. He was taking his coconut oil dose twice a day. In just two weeks after he included coconut oil into his diet, his drawing ability improved. In a little after a month his drawings were a lot more clear. The oil really affected his condition.

After two months, Mr. Newport was alert, talkative, and the most important, happy. He was more focused and concentrated, and he was also able to stay on the task. He was taking the same dose of coconut oil each day, and the dementia symptoms continued to reverse.

He could run again, and his reading comprehension improved significantly. As time went by, his short-term memory returned, and Mr. Newport could clearly talk about certain events in his life. The brain scan showed that the atrophy he had was halted.

What We Know

The most important, but sad fact -- Alzheimer’s medications have failed. We also know that a drug company got a non-patentable natural substance (MCT) into an FDA trial, and yes, it worked. But, it was now discovered that a natural substance can be actually substituted for the expensive drug.

You should not be surprised by the fact that the natural substitute works better than the drug. When you consume coconut oil, the ketones last for eight hours in the body, and the synthetic version keeps them for three. The success of this idea could bring the drug companies to their knees.
