Despite beliefs, women and men have different symptoms of heart disease. In fact, women may have 30 days of warning symptoms before it comes down to an attack. If you start to notice any of these signs, urgently make an appointment with a cardiologist.

1.You feel very tired or you’re suffering from insomnia

If you have been feeling more tired than usual or are experience insomnia without doing anything overly exhausting, this can be a sign that the coronary arteries have narrowed drastically. A decreased flow of blood to the heart causes the hard to work harder to pump. This leaves us feeling absolutely exhausted but yet unable to fall asleep at night.

2.Shortness of breath

If you experience a shortness of breath, this is a big sign for women who are at risk. This is because the cardiovascular and respiratory systems seriously rely on each other. If the heart is receiving less blood, then the lungs are also becoming oxygen deprived which results in shortness of breath.

3.Weakness of muscle

If you have weakness in your muscles, it’s because there has been a decrease in the blood flow as the whole body is deprived of oxygen. When the circulation of blood is getting worse, muscles lose their full functioning.

4.nausea and sweating an dizziness

If you are experiencing sweating, nausea, or dizziness, and have broken into a cold sweat or are experiencing vertigo, it’s sometimes a sign of cardiac issues. This is especially noticeable when you go to stand up because the brain doesn’t get blood to it in time and leaves you light-headed.

5.Uncomfortable feeling in the chest

If you have an awkward and uncomfortable feeling in your chest, it can create a twinge do to the narrowing of the coronary artery which puts a stop to normal flow of blood in the body. At first the chest will start to feel like it has an odd feeling and eventually you might feel pain.

However, you might still be able to prevent it. Since women typically have milder symptoms than men, it’s easier to disregard some of these signs as potential signs of an upcoming heart attack. Women have to acknowledge the signs that the body is giving them. If you sense something is wrong, you need to visit a doctor who will then pass you on to a heart specialist. This is especially important if you start to have some of these signs and have a history in your blood family of heart disease. If something feels not quite right, don’t put off going to visit the doctor.
