This dark place usually happens to be our toenails; this is as a result of the long period of time our legs are kept in shoes. Obviously shoes are dark and warm enough for fungal development especially when moisture is also present. Mould or yeast could also be the cause of this fungus; however, it is generally called nail fungus.
What does Nail Fungus Look like?
Mostly, a white or yellow spot is the first thing you observe on your nail’s tip; this signals the beginning of Nail fungal infections. Gradually, you might observe that the nails begin to thicken, crack, or darken as the fungus grows. The nail’s shape may also change or become dull.
Sometimes, the fungus makes the nails begin to detach from the nail bed, causing discomfort. Left to its own devices, this fungus can stay on your nails indefinitely. Even when treated, it is not uncommon to see the fungal infection reoccurring at a later time.
How to remove the Nail Fungus Naturally
Fortunately, nail fungus can be removed naturally. You could do this by treating with tea tree oil; you could also use orange oil.
These are the thing you need to make the mixture
- Tea tree oil (1 tablespoon)
- Orange oil (1/2 tablespoon)
- Grape seed or olive oil (1/2 teaspoon)
- Cotton Balls
Stir all the ingredients listed above together then dipping a cotton ball in it, leave the ball to soak. When soaked, use the cotton board on the infected nail and let all the oil drip into it. Allow the nail to dry.
Alternatively, you could dip your feet into a bowl of water mixed with a few drops (4-5) of the tea tree oil. Allow your leg sufficient time to soak in the water, up to 20 minutes. Repeat this treatment twice a day.
USING VINEGAR AND BAKING SODA
An alternative way to eliminate nail fungal infections is with vinegar and baking soda.
What you need
- Baking Soda (5 table spoons)
- Vinegar (one cup), either white of apple cider
- Water
- Big Bowl
Directions
- Add vinegar to the bowl of water
- For about fifteen minutes, soak your feet in the bowl
- Pat your feet dry
- Add baking Soda to the mixture
- Return your feet to soak in the bowl for another fifteen minutes
The fungus already present will be killed by the vinegar while fresh growth will be hindered by the baking soda.
COCONUT OIL
This is another remedy for nail fungal infections. The coconut oil is rubbed on the nails two times every day. This will help rid your nails of the fungus and also prevents new fungal growth. In addition, it also helps you soften your hands and feet.
These remedies are all natural, completely safe and effective on every type of nail fungal infections.
