Anti-Inflammatory Salad for Kidney Infection and Diseases

By eating this delicious, nutritious and extremely healthy salad  you can not only prevent kidney infection and disease but also  gain benefits for your general well-being. And that is what matters the most.

People with kidney diseases and infection are more subjected to inflammation and they run the risk of of developing cardiovascular  diseases as well. In addition,  their their immunity system is suppressed.Depending on the intensity of the  infection , they can feel  immense pain and this can further lead to a serious kidney complication.

Despite all the medical treatment you get, such as antibiotics and painkillers , you can always help yourself by implementing in your nutrition food that is kidney-friendly and prevents inflammation.

Carrots,parsley and garlic  increase the level of antioxidants and naturally fight inflammation in the body. Moreover, they have antibacterial properties which additionally protect the kidneys from infections.

Carrots are rich source of vitamins and minerals, such as  vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin D and calcium, necessary for proper kidney function. They stimulate the repairing of damaged renal tissues and help treat kidney infections.

Parsley has been known for centuries as a kidney cleanser and an effective weapon against the formation of kidney stones due to the presence of active components apiol and myristicin. The diuretic effect of  parsley helps the body discharge all the toxins and bacteria.

Finally, the garlic, being famous for the bioactive  components  alicin and diallyl sulphide , effectively prevents the spreading of infections and kidney-related diseases. The presence of selenium in garlic has a positive effect on kidney damage.

All these constituents have health-supporting properties  and are extremely beneficial for kidney health so it is advisable to use them regularly.

Necessary Ingredients: 

  • 2 large carrots ( or 3 medium-sized)
  • half a bunch of parsley
  • a clove of garlic
  • 1 tbsp. lemon juice ( you can substitute with apple cider vinegar)
  • fresh basil leaves
  • olive oil

Directions: Shave the carrots into long,thin strips by using vegetable peeler, add the finely chopped parsley and garlic and season with mixture of lemon juice and  olive oil.  The lemon juice will contribute to the refreshing taste of the salad. Finish with fresh basil and serve immediately in order to take full advantage of the active components of the salad. You can garnish the salad by adding cashews on the one side, chopped black olives on the other and zucchini strips in the middle.

You can prepare the same salad in  different version- instead of shaving the carrots, try chopping them into pieces but the effect it has on the health is the same.

Note: As you probably noticed, there is no need for salt in this salad because salt intake can
only worsen the kidney-related diseases.
