Get Rid Of Toothache And Relieve Pain In Just A Few Minutes With These Home Remedies

A toothache is a pain that occurs around or in a tooth and it may be caused by:
• Abscessed tooth
• Tooth decay
• Tooth fracture
• Infected gums
• A damaged filling

However, some toothaches and pains can be handled right at your home. So, next time you have trouble with your mouth, try these remedies that come directly from your kitchen cabinet:

1. Warm water with salt
In a glass of warm water mix 1 tbsp of salt. Using this salt water as a mouthwash will reduce inflammation and swelling caused by toothache.

2. Oil pulling
Put 2 tbsp of oil in the mouth and swish it around for 20 minutes. Oil pulling will help reduce the harmful bacteria in the mouth and will lower the risk of tooth infection. Yellow teeth and bad breath can also be treated with this if you repeat the procedure for a few days.

3. Salt and pepper
Salt and pepper have strong anti-bacterial properties so they can effectively ease and relieve toothache. Make toothpaste mixing equal portions of table salt, pepper and a little water. Apply this cure on the infected tooth and leave it for a few minutes.

4. Garlic
Garlic is another effective home remedy for toothache. Crush a garlic clove and mix it with some salt. Apply this directly on your tooth. Chewing a garlic clove is giving even better results.

5. Ginger
Take a piece of ginger root and soak it in water for a while. Gargle with this for a few minutes.

6. Cloves
Smash 2-3 cloves and mix them with a little olive oil. Apply this on the infected tooth. This is an extremely efficient pain reliever. Also, you can mix a few drops of clove oil in water and wash your mouth with it.

7. Ice cubes
Crush some ice and wrap it in gauze. Press this over your cheeks or jaw. You can also put a crushed ice cube in your mouth or gargle with icy cold water for a few minutes.

8. Onion
Onions are highly effective for relieving toothache due to their strong antimicrobial and antiseptic properties. Simply chew a piece of raw onion to relieve pain.

9. Turmeric 
Mix a ½ tsp. of turmeric powder with a few drops of mustard oil to make a thick paste. Put this on your cavity and let it act for 15 minutes and then spit it out.

10. Tea bags Black tea can decrease swelling and relieve pain due to the astringent tannin it contains..

11. Peppermint leaves Simply chew fresh peppermint leaves to alleviate pain. You can also use dried leaves if you can’t find fresh ones.
